Open the case by unscrewing the four screws on the back with a Phillips head screwdriver.
Open the case by unscrewing the four screws on the back with a Phillips head screwdriver. Take out the two metal plates inside—these are what hold the cutting blades in place. If your trimmer came with a cleaning brush, use it to remove any hair or debris from the plates or from inside the trimmer case.
Remove the back cover and set it aside.
To begin, remove the back cover of the trimmer by unscrewing the small screw in the center of the cover. Once the back cover is removed, set it aside. You will see two black plastic plates with teeth on them. These are called combs. One comb will have shorter teeth and one will have longer teeth.
Take out the battery and set it aside.
When you are ready to put your Wahl trimmer back together, start by taking out the battery and setting it aside. If your trimmer has a detachable blade, remove it as well. Once you have all of the pieces separated, start with the blade. If your trimmer has a screw that holds the blade in place, put that back in first. Once the blade is secure, you can start reassembling the rest of the trimmer. Slide the head onto the body of the trimmer, and then screw it in place. Finally, insert the battery and test out your trimmer to make sure everything is working properly.

Remove the old blade by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place.
Wahl trimmers are a type of electric razor that is used to trim and shape facial hair. The trimmer comes with a detachable blade that can be removed for cleaning or replacement. If you need to replace the blade on your Wahl trimmer, follow these steps.
1. Remove the old blade by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place.
2. Carefully remove the old blade, being careful not to drop it or lose any of the small parts attached to it.
3. Take the new blade and attach it to the trimmer, making sure that all of the small parts are properly in place.
4. Screw the new blade into place, being careful not to overtighten the screws.
5. Reattach the guard to the trimmer and you’re done!
Insert the new blade and screw it in place.
Remove the old blade by unscrewing it from the trimmer. Clean the blade area with a brush or new blade before attaching the new blade. Insert the new blade with the teeth pointing in the same direction as the old blade. Screw it in place until it is tight.
Replace the motor and screw it in place.
Now that you have the new motor, you need to put the trimmer back together. Start by replacing the motor and screwing it in place. Make sure that the screws are tight so that the motor doesn’t come loose while you’re using the trimmer.
Next, replace the blade. You’ll need to unscrew the old blade and screw on the new one. Again, make sure that the screws are tight so that the blade doesn’t come loose while you’re using the trimmer.
Finally, replace the guard. The guard goes over the blade to protect you from cuts. Unscrew the old guard and screw on the new one. Once again, make sure that the screws are tight so that the guard doesn’t come loose while you’re using the trimmer.
That’s it! You’ve now successfully replaced the motor on your Wahl trimmer.
Replace the battery.
If your Wahl trimmer is not working, one of the first things you should check is the battery. If the battery is dead, you will need to replace it.
1. Remove the old battery by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place.
2. Insert the new battery into the trimmer, making sure that the positive and negative terminals are facing in the correct direction.
3. Screw the battery cover back on.
Close the case and screw it shut.
Place the bottom half of the case over the trimmer, making sure that the power cord is routed through the hole in the side of the case. Line up the two halves of the case and snap them together. Screw the case closed using the screws that came with your trimmer.
