This guide will teach you how to replace the trimmer line on a Craftsman electric weedwacker. You will need a new trimmer line, a screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.

Introduction
In order to replace the trimmer line on a Craftsman electric weedwacker, you will need to first remove the old line. You can do this by either pulling it out or cutting it with a pair of scissors. Once the old line is removed, you will need to thread the new line through the eyelets on the trimmer head. Be sure to leave enough slack so that the line can be easily tightened.
Disconnect the trimmer from the power source.
Disconnect the trimmer from the power source. For corded electric models, unplug the unit. For cordless electric or gas-powered models, remove the battery pack or turn off the fuel supply.
Remove the spool cap from the trimmer.
1. To replace the trimmer line on a Craftsman electric weedwacker, first remove the spool cap from the trimmer.
2. Then, pull the old trimmer line out of the spool, and cut off any remaining line with a pair of scissors.
3. Next, feed the new trimmer line through the eyelet on the spool, and wrap it around the spool in a clockwise direction until there is about six inches of line remaining.
4. Finally, replace the spool cap on the trimmer, and press down firmly to secure it in place.
Take out the old trimmer line from the spool.
To start, make sure that the weedwacker is turned off and unplugged. You will need to remove the spool of old trimmer line in order to replace it. On most models, there is a knob or a lever that you can press or push in order to release the spool. For Craftsman electric weedwackers, there is a red button on the side that needs to be depressed in order to release the spool.
Insert the new trimmer line into the spool.

To do this, hold the spool in one hand and use your other hand to pull the old trimmer line out. Once the old trimmer line is removed, insert the new trimmer line into the spool. Put the spool cap back on the trimmer.

Reconnect the trimmer to the power source.
