Gather your supplies.
Trimming your eyebrows doesn’t require a lot of supplies, but you’ll get the best results if you have the right tools. Gather a small pair of scissors, a fine-toothed comb, and an eyebrow trimmer. You’ll also need a small mirror so you can see what you’re doing. If you don’t have an eyebrow trimmer, you can use a small pair of scissors to trim your eyebrows.
Trim the hair above the brow first.
Start by trimming the hair that grows above the brow. Using the trimmer, start at the inner corner of the brow and move outwards. Be sure to go slowly and be careful not to take off too much hair.
Next, trim the hair along the underside of the brow. Start at the inner corner again and move outwards. Be especially careful not to take off too much hair here, as it can result in an uneven look.
Finally, use the trimmer to tidy up any strays or out-of-place hairs around the edges of the brow. Again, go slowly and be careful not to overdo it.
Use the trimmer to outline the shape of your eyebrows.
First, use the trimmer to outline the shape of your eyebrows. Start by holding the trimmer parallel to your eyebrow and moving it slowly outward. Check your progress in a mirror as you go to make sure you’re happy with the shape.
Next, use the trimmer to remove any stray hairs outside of the outline you just created. Be careful not to overdo it – you can always trim more later if needed. Finally, use the comb attachment to comb through your eyebrows and tidy up any stray hairs.
Trim the hair under the brow.
It’s important to keep the area under the brow well-groomed. Use your trimmer to carefully remove any strays. Follow the natural arch of your brow and don’t overdo it – you don’t want to end up with two bald patches!
Use a comb to tidy up your eyebrows.
There are a few different ways that you can trim your eyebrows with an electric trimmer, but the most common and easiest way is to use a comb.
Start by slightly dampening your eyebrow area with a wet cloth or by using a bit of shaving cream. This will help the hair to lay flat and make it easier to trim.
Next, take your comb and hold it horizontally across your eyebrow. Use the trimmer to carefully go over the comb, following its shape. Be sure not to go too close to the skin, as this can cause irritation. Repeat this step until all of the hair has been trimmed.
If you want a more defined look, you can use the trimmer without the comb. Simply hold the trimmer vertically against your skin and carefully glide it over the hair. Once again, take care not to press too hard or go too close to the skin.
